The chip allows you to both move the cursor and press buttons.
The first owner of a neural implant from Neuralink learned to use it to control a computer mouse. The founder and head of Neuralink, Elon Musk, spoke about this.
According to Musk, a person who has had the chip implanted is able to move the mouse cursor and press the controller buttons with the power of thought. Now Neuralink specialists are trying to increase the number of such clicks.

Good progress. The patient appears to have made a full recovery and we are not aware of any adverse effects. The patient is able to move the mouse cursor across the screen with the power of thought.
The first implantation of a Neuralink chip into a human test subject became known in January 2024. We do not know who exactly was implanted with the chip, we only know that people with paralysis of all limbs were sought to participate in the trials.
Previously, the Neuralink chip was tested on pigs and monkeys – they, too, could interact with virtual objects with the power of thought. The company hopes that in the future such chips will help fully or partially paralyzed people work with computer systems.
