A teaser for the Borderlands film adaptation has appeared online, revealing the release date of the first trailer. You can watch the full video on February 21, but in the meantime you can enjoy preview footage of the key characters. The film itself, we remind you, will be released on August 9 this year.
The preview showed Cate Blanchett in all her glory, who will play the role of the siren Lilith. In the first frame, she shoots at her opponents, and soon you can see the combat power of Roland, played by Kevin Hart. The rest of the main characters also appeared in the teaser: Patricia Tannis (Jamie Lee Curtis), Tiny Tina (Ariana Greenblatt), the psychopath King (Florian Munteanu) and Claptrap (Jack Black gave the character his voice).
The plot of the film adaptation is based on the search for the missing daughter of the most powerful scoundrel in the universe. To do this, the criminal Lilith returns to her native Pandora and enters into an alliance with her new friends. Together they will cross the planet, fight bandits and become almost a family.
It became known back in 2015 that work was underway on a film version of Borderlands. Filming began only in 2021 and took several months.
