Rumors about the possible return of Gigantic's multiplayer game began last year. Then the developers invited players who had played the project many years ago to take part in closed testing. Now it has been officially announced – the game returns in the Gigantic: Rampage Edition, and it comes out on April 9 on Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, Playstation 4, Playstation 5 and PC for $16.99.
The game Gigantic was first released by Motiga in 2017 exclusively on Xbox One and PC, while it was actively promoted with the Microsoft console. About a year after the release, in 2018, the project’s servers were closed, and then the rights to it were transferred to Gearbox. Now comes the Rampage Edition, created by Abstraction Games.
In Gigantic: Rampage Edition, players will find not only all the content that was present in the original, but also a lot of new things:
2 new heroes, in total there will be 23 in the game. 2 new cards that join the previously available ones. Features for customization and development of heroes. 3 game modes. Free content after release. Cross-platform multiplayer.
The developers have also improved the gameplay in general. They promise that owners of Gigantic: Rampage Edition will be able to unlock all content through gameplay, without having to purchase anything with real currency.
The gameplay trailer for Gigantic: Rampage Edition can be viewed below. The developers do not indicate in the announcement whether the project will have a shareware version; in 2017, the game was released in exactly this version. Let us remind you that the game itself offers battles in 5v5 modes.
