Even though the challenge is quite big to make a major overhaul of a game like this so that it can be relevant and attractive to young gamers, the nostalgic appeal that it offers cannot be ignored. Unfortunately, quite a few “revival” projects like these end up being done half-heartedly and with super limited budgets, which inevitably ends up affecting the final quality. The good news? SEGA itself has indeed confirmed efforts to revive many of their legendary old games that were “sleeping”, including Crazy Taxi in it. The good news? Not half-heartedly, this project will be positioned as an “AAA” game, aka a game with a big budget. This was confirmed by the president of SEGA Sapporo – Takaya Segawa who also confirmed that the development process for this reboot series would continue to be carried out closely with SEGA Tokyo. Unfortunately, there is no detailed information regarding gameplay changes or what kind of modernization will be introduced.
