With “Temtem: Swarm”, a new roguelite survival game about the little monsters is in development. First details and a trailer give us an impression of the adventure.
At the beginning of 2020, Crema released “Temtem”, a new role-playing game in which the focus is on catching, training and collecting monsters. This evening the development studio announced “Temtem: Swarm” in collaboration with GGTech Studio.
This is a roguelite action game that is scheduled to be released for the PC (via Steam) in the third quarter of 2024. Implementations for as yet unnamed consoles will also be submitted at a later date.
Temtem Swarm is an interesting mix of genres
The minimalist gameplay of classic survival games is intended to be combined with the strategic combat system of “Temtem”. This will allow you to create a varied strategy in a busy environment. Of course, the popular creatures that you know from the original shouldn't be missing.
Furthermore, up to three players can fight together against the swarms of Tems. Accordingly, you should develop strategies together, share resources and face the bosses who are becoming increasingly stronger. A coordinated attack allows the maximum potential to be exploited.
Challenging mini-bosses and powerful stage bosses are waiting for you if you want to complete the respective levels. Among others, Gharunder, Yowlar and Nessla will be waiting for you, although only the strongest can overcome these battles. You will also be able to use power-ups to clear the map quickly.
You will receive experience points and level up for defeating opponents. This means you can also unlock the final development stage of the Tems. You can also catch Tems, use powerful traits and individual abilities, and face the challenge in both solo and co-op modes.
To give you a first impression of “Temtem: Swarm”, the developers have also provided a corresponding announcement trailer. As soon as further information is provided, we will update you.
