As the media reported, in the studio Build a Rocket Boy reductions have taken place. This has now been confirmed by the studio in a statement, where it noted that it has made great progress, but now changes are required in the company's work.
Layoffs took place in subsidiaries around the world to achieve goals and refocus. The layoff process is ongoing, but Build a Rocket Boy has assured that support will be provided to all those laid off. It remains unclear how many people were laid off, but at least eight employees responsible for technical support for players were laid off.
Build a Rocket Boy is known as the studio founded by former head Rockstar North. The main project of the developers was the large-scale game Everywhere, the first screenshots of which appeared in 2023. In January, the studio announced that it had raised more than $110 million in funding. And recently Sergey Galyonkin, former director of publishing strategy, became a new employee of Build a Rocket Boy Epic Games.
