Fans of Elden Ring had to wait a long time, but today the time has finally come: The first trailer for the big DLC “Shadow of the Erdtree” is published! The release date of the additional content may have already been leaked in advance.
From Software's Elden Ring hit like a bomb in its time and won more Game of the Year Awards than any other game before it. Expectations are correspondingly high for the “Shadow of the Erdtree” expansion, which has been announced for a long time, but the publication and the first game scenes are still pending. Today we can finally see the first gameplay – and a release date?
From Software has now announced the first gameplay trailer for the add-on to the action epic originally published in 2022. A corresponding video is scheduled to be published this Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. German time and will then provide further insights into the big DLC for the first time. It is also generally expected that the release date will finally be announced – but this could also already be known.

The well-known Dealabs leaker Billbil-kun brings up the supposed release date in advance of the publication of the three-minute video. Accordingly, “Shadow of the Erdtree” will be available from June 21, 2024. Anyone who knows Billbil-kun's leaks knows that it's almost like an announcement. In the past, the insider has regularly leaked the line-ups on PS Plus, Xbox Game Pass or the Epic Games Store and has always been accurately informed with his information elsewhere; Billbil-kun has almost never shared false information. However, there is still a residual risk in this case, because this time the insider himself states that he is not 100 percent sure about this. However, clarity should prevail in a few hours at the latest. A Collector's Edition will also be available on the same day.
Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree was announced a year ago in February, but left concrete details and information open in every respect. From then on, the only clues were provided by published artwork, which included a reference to Miquella of the Haligtree, Malenia's twin brother and a character we haven't yet seen in the original game.
