From the columns of IGN.com, Hidetaka Miyazaki not only reflected on the community's hopes for the possible arrival of Bloodborne Remake on PS5 PRO or PS6 but shared a lot of unpublished information on the gameplay and contents of Shadow of the Erdtree, the highly anticipated expansion of Elden Ring.
In the interview with Miyazaki published by IGN.com on the sidelines of the first gameplay video of Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree, the boss of FromSoftware has in fact reeled off a whole series of details on the ambitious additional content that will enrich the already enormous gaming offer and narrative of the odyssey of Senzaluce.
The father of the Dark Souls series begins his speech by confirming that the settings that will be the backdrop to the events of Shadow of the Erdtree will be completely different from those of the Interregnum. The entire region free roaming of Shadow LandsFurthermore, it will have dimensions comparable to those of the Sepulcridewith the addition of further areas to explore including dungeons and secret areas full of treasures and enemies.
Miyazaki then explains that the gaming experience offered by Shadow of the Erdtree (understood as progression and structure of the gameplay and not as longevity) will be similar to that already appreciated by fans of Elden Ring and the same goes for the difficulty level, with numerous main missions to alternate with secondary activities and exploration as an end in itself. There is therefore room for many new weapons, new equipment and spells, numerous NPCs to interact with during the adventure and optional challenges against new 'major' enemies and bosses which, according to Miyazaki, will give an experience comparable to that of the unforgettable 'phased' clash with Malenia.
In closing his speech, the FromSoftware boss explains that his team does not foresee the development of a second DLC or a sequel to Elden Ringwhile underlining how “we certainly don't want to exclude this possibility. We think that there might be something in the future”.
