The add-on will cost almost as much as the game itself.
The developers of Elden Ring showed off a gameplay trailer for Shadow of the Erdtree, probably the only addition to the game. Fans have been waiting for the first gameplay of the expansion for almost a year: Shadow of the Erdtree was announced at the end of February 2023.
Shadow of the Erdtree invites players to venture into the Shadowlands and fight a new threat. The addon will introduce both new locations and new bosses into the game – the video shows a battle with several such opponents.
Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree will cost $40 and will be released on June 21, 2024. Judging by the subtitles for the trailer, the addon will have Russian localization.
Along with the add-on, a collector's edition will be released containing the add-on and the base game. The collectible set will include a figurine of Messmer the All-Good, apparently the main antagonist of Shadow of the Erdtree.
