Grounded is the first of four mysterious Xbox exclusives to go multiplatform. The announcement came as a surprise during the Nintendo Direct in February, published via video and not live as the Japanese company usually does. Nintendo has revealed the trailer and above all the release date, set for April 16, 2024 on Nintendo Switch and, at this point, it can also be assumed on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
Grounded is no longer Xbox exclusive. Will Hi-Fi Rush be next?
With the arrival of Grounded on Nintendo Switch and, presumably, PlayStation, the multiplayer video game by Obsidian effectively loses its exclusive title. Microsoft had already anticipated a few days ago that four Xbox-exclusive video games would then land on other consoles as part of a strategy aimed at opening up to the multiplatform market. The game was obviously scaled down from a graphics and resolution point of view to ensure that it could run on Switch. However, the rest of the game will be identical and, obviously, you will need a subscription to play multiplayer.
