We don't yet know who the new antagonist of the cinematic universe will be.
Marvel Studios will try to get rid of Kang the Conqueror in new projects, sources tell The Hollywood Reporter. According to the publication, film scripts are now being rewritten in such a way as to either remove Kang from them entirely, or reduce the presence of the character to a minimum.
In addition, the publication claims, Marvel has decided to rename the film “Avengers: Kang Dynasty.” Mention of the character will be removed from the new title; the publication does not say what exactly the film will be called.
And here's another story
The studio decided to get rid of Kang after the actor who played him, Jonathan Majors, was found guilty of domestic violence. Kang the Conqueror was expected to become an antagonist in the new phases of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
In fact, writes The Hollywood Reporter, the decision to minimize the presence of the character in the cinematic universe was made after the failure of the film Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantomania, which also had Kang as an antagonist.
While Kang won't be the MCU's new antagonist, we don't yet know who will replace him. There are rumors that this could be Doctor Doom, who will allegedly appear in the Fantastic Four film, but so far insiders have not spoken out on this matter.
