A Samsung deve deliver a series of features based on Artificial Intelligence to your smart watches. The company's intention is to follow the trend started with the launch of the Galaxy S24 line.
Commenting on the matter, Samsung MX CEO and President TM Roh said that the company is ready to integrate Galaxy AI into its future wearable devices such as the Galaxy Watch 7 and even the Galaxy Ring.
For the executive, AI can be a great “trump card” to allow improved monitoring of the user's health, as it is capable of identifying patterns and cross-referencing information.
AI can unlock a new era of expanded, intelligent healthcare experiences.
TM Roh also said that Samsung has already reached out to leading AI partners in the healthcare industry to study what improvements could be released on the Galaxy Watch in the future.
However, he declined to delve deeper into the subject and comment on what health features Samsung plans to release on the Galaxy Watch 7, which should be presented in the second half of this year alongside the foldable Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6.
Samsung has been working on integration between its smart watches and mattresses and also on functionality that monitors blood glucose levels. AI can also help deliver more accurate reports on a user's workouts and sleep.
Roh also highlighted that the AI issue remains at a very early stage, and there are debates about privacy and intellectual property. Therefore, Samsung has been “cautious” and only worked on what guarantees user safety.
For now, Samsung continues to develop, together with Google, Wear OS 5. Therefore, any AI news should appear in the software's beta code.
