Numerous superheroes have paraded through the Marvel cinematic universe, among which is Wanda Maximoff, best known for being Scarlet Witch (Scarlet Witch in Spain). We have seen her appear in a few films and she has even starred in Scarlet Witch and Vision, her own television series on Disney +, but where she will once again have a very important role is in the world of comics.
Marvel has announced a new series dedicated entirely to Scarlet Witch that will be written by Steve Orlando, the same one who in the past was in charge of the previous comic series focused on this very powerful sorceress, in addition to being in charge of the issues of the series Scarlet Witch & Quicksilver which is in circulation right now.
In fact, this new story will delve into these events. In it we will see Scarlet Witch living peacefully in a shelter that has been built in northern New York. However, peace never lasts forever and she will be punctuated by the appearance of the wrath of a primordial force which he had never faced before.
Its purpose is to completely destroy Wanda's entire world, which promises to leave us with a clash of titans in which she will join her allies to fight this new threat. Likewise, she will show us what happens when pure chaos meets pure destruction while we will see why it is the most devastating sorceress in the entire Marvel universe.
Steve Orlando himself wanted to express his happiness for having the opportunity to write this story of one of his most beloved characters:
The news is out and I couldn't be more excited! Scarlet Witch has been my dream job, and returning to her once again and continuing Wanda's adventures is something I could never say no to.
The first number of Scarlet Witch will arrive June 12 and at the moment it has not been specified how many issues will be part of the series. For the moment you can enjoy the art image of what will be the first issue, drawn by artist Russell Dauterman, while the drawings within the comic itself will be handled by Jacopo Camagni (X-Men Red).
