Lionsgate Movies showed the promised first trailer for the film adaptation of Borderlands. In addition, posters with key characters from the film were demonstrated. You can watch the film on August 9 this year.
In the trailer, you can see the siren Lilith (Cate Blanchett) and her friends, who together must find the daughter of an influential scoundrel. Explosions and combat moments add to the epicness of the video. Traveling with Lilith will be Roland (Kevin Hart), Patricia Tannis (Jamie Lee Curtis), Tiny Tina (Ariana Greenblatt), the psychopath Krieg (Florian Munteanu) and Claptrap (Jack Black gave the character his voice).
The plot will not follow the original Borderlands story, although all the characters will be familiar to fans of the franchise. The original game was released in 2009 and launched a popular series: players and critics praise the elements of a bone-crushing shooter mixed with mechanics in the spirit of Diablo.
It became known back in 2015 that work was underway on a film version of Borderlands. Filming began only in 2021 and took several months.
