At the beginning of the month, beta testing of a new patch for Starfield began, which adds AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 3 technology with frame generation to the game. And now this update in the final version is available to all users of the game. Also, the latest update 1.9.67 adds another scaling option to the game – Intel XeSS. Fixed some bugs in DLSS and other minor technical errors.
Note that along with Starfield, support for AMD FSR 3 technology appeared in Starship Troopers: Extermination and The Thaumaturge. The technology itself is an advanced version of FidelityFX Super Resolution scaling with intermediate frame generation.
At the same time, the technology does not require special tensor units and has universal support for different GPUs. Therefore, in addition to users of Radeon RX 6000/7000, it can also be used by owners of old GeForce RTX 20 and 30 series video cards who do not have access to the advanced version of DLSS 3.
