Those: CAPCOM
February 22, 2024 at 8:00 a.m. – Fans of Dragons Dogma 2 may soon have something to look forward to. There are increasing indications that a demo version of the long-awaited RPG will soon be available. At the same time, Capcom announces price reviews.
Capcom, the developer behind Dragons Dogma 2, is frankly quite well known for happily releasing some demos. This is what happened with popular parts of equally popular franchise hits such as Resident Evil 4 in March 2023 or the fighting great Streetfighter 6.
So it seems anything but unlikely that Capcom will stay true to itself this time and reward fans of Dragons Dogma 2 with an exciting demo, but where do the rumors come from?

Reddit user discovers clues to SteamDB
The reason for the acceptance of an upcoming demo this time is not an official announcement from Capcom (at least not yet), but once again the research spirit of a Reddit user. This discovered a change in the backend of Steam, which was recorded by the tracking website SteamDB. More specifically, the update added a “Free on Demand” bracket to the game.

Dragons Dogma 2 is hotly anticipated in 2024 and marks Capcom's first foray into the $70 game space. In view of ever-increasing development prices, Capcom has already indicated that it would consider future price reviews for all games. The release of a demo could not only be a foretaste for fans, but also a presentation of the high quality of the game and thus a justification for the high price.
