Meta is reportedly considering adding support for Apple's AirPlay feature to its Meta Quest 3 (review) and Meta Quest Pro (review) headsets. Which could allow you to stream content via AirPlay from your iPhone to your Meta Quest headset.
Meta awaits authorization from Apple
Currently, Quest headsets already have a wide selection of applications allowing users to consume or stream multimedia content, with even the ability to store files for playback later.
As discovered by leaker UploadVR, Meta plans to extend these features to support content or screen sharing to its headsets from Apple devices via AirPlay. However, this seems to depend on permission from the iPhone manufacturer.
In a response to a user on the social network Include AirPlay in Quest wearables by converting them into receivers and making them compatible with the wireless protocol.
Once authorized, users will be able to AirPlay content or screens from an iPhone or iPad and manage them on a Meta Quest headset, but in virtual reality.

However, there is no guarantee that Apple will respond favorably to Meta's request, since the two manufacturers are competitors in the market for virtual reality and augmented reality headsets. If Apple responds favorably to Meta's request, it would offer VR headset users a wide variety of media playback options.
The closest solution to getting a comparable experience without AirPlay is to transfer content from an iPhone to a Quest headset by transferring it to a Mac or PC first.
You can also use third-party apps to stream content, but via a Mac or PC, in addition to streaming apps like Netflix directly to the headset.
