The fighting game “Mortal Kombat 1” will receive its third DLC character, Peacemaker, in a few days. NetherRealm has revealed both a date and a trailer.
Peacemaker will enforce peace in “Mortal Kombat 1.”
Those responsible at NetherRealm Studios had already announced before the release of the fighting game “Mortal Kombat 1” that some DLC characters would appear in the first year of content. After Omni-Man and Quan-Chi were already released, the third fighter has now also been given a date.
Owners of the Kombat Pack will be able to enjoy Peacemaker as early as February 28, 2024. All other players will have to wait until March 6, 2024.
Peace by all means
Peacemaker will have both John Cena's voice and appearance, as seen in both the film “The Suicide Squad” and the series “Peacemaker”. The character is also known as Christopher Smith and puts peace above all else. That's why he kills everything and everyone to ensure peace.
To coincide with the upcoming release, those responsible have also provided a new gameplay trailer in which Peacemaker Liu Kang takes on the new era of peace. In battle, he relies on his shooting skills, the special capabilities of his helmet and his loyal eagle Eagly, as well as some legendary dances. Of course, the hard-boiled humor shouldn't be missing either.
Additionally, we get our first look at Janet Cage. She will appear as a new Kameo Fighter as well as an alternate reality version of Johnny Cage. It will provide you with some supporting promotions when it becomes available as part of the Kombat Pack and as a standalone release later next month.
Mortal Kombat 1 is available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch and PC. If you are interested, you can find out more news about the game in our topic overview.
