June 13, 2024. This is the date set by Amazon Studios for the return of The Boys, a series now in its fourth season and which has managed to win over the public thanks to a way of transposing superheroes onto the small screen in total contrast to what has been done by majors such as DC Studios and Marvel Studios. The release date isn't new, actually. In fact, it was revealed at the beginning of January with an Instagram post that was later removed. To see The Boys 4, all we have to do is wait for the end of spring. Unfortunately, or fortunately for some, the release date was not accompanied by new details on the upcoming season.
The Boys 4: Homelander, Butcher and the Boys return on June 13th
The Boys 4 will be a very important season for the series, at least on paper, because it could lead to really important consequences within the Amazon series and its narrative universe, which includes, remember, Gen-V (series necessary to prepare for the fourth season of The Boys). As we could see from the trailer, Homelander is now totally at loose rein and has no one left to keep him at bay, while at the same time Butcher finds himself in a race against time.
At the same time, Starlight continues to look for supporters in an America now truly aligned towards the darling played by Antony Starr. New heroes and new faces also take to the field, like Soldier Boy's father (Soldier Boy, played by Jensen Ackles). By a twist of fate, and probably also for a bit of nostalgia, the father will be played by Jeffrey D. Morgan, former 'father' of Jensen in Supernatural, a TV series created by Eric Kripke.
