Valheim's developers have had a turbulent few weeks after hackers messed up their game's Discord server in January 2024. As the team announced in an official blog post on Steam, the server is now available again, albeit with a few drawbacks.
Discord usable again, but chat history remains lost
Because the hackers deleted almost all chat channels in the Discord, most of the chat history was irretrievably lost. Users therefore have to do without older chat histories. Otherwise, the Discord can now be used again without restrictions.
In addition, the Valheim developers have released another episode of their Walk & Talk format in which they talk about the upcoming Ashlands expansion. The video is the final episode, which includes, among other things, some more sneak peaks about new content for the survival sandbox.

As a supplement to the third Walk & Talk episode, the developers have released some screenshots of Ashlands. A picture shows the hostile environment of the new zone, which can become a deadly trap even for the creatures that live there. Another screenshot shows an ominous, glowing blue wreath, which the developers say is “both decorative and useful.”

Last but not least, there was a preview of the weapon customizations coming to the game with Ashlands. Here the team behind Valheim showed a special sword that had already been seen in a lightning version, but this time enhanced with a bloodstone. There is no exact release date for the Ashlands update yet, but it should appear in the first half of 2024.
