Developer Techland today released a new update for Dying Light 2 Stay Human that introduces firearms to the post-apocalyptic, zombie-infested city of Villedor. The aptly named Firearms Update is the game's biggest update yet, adding firearms as an “expansion” rather than a complete genre change. According to the studio, firearms “open up new possibilities without changing the game's DNA,” and come alongside other additions such as co-op survival missions, board quests, and various “notable” visual improvements. In addition, some characters from the first Dying Light also appear via the update.
The Dying Light 2 Stay Human Firearms Update is available now, along with a new Reloaded Edition of the game that includes all updates (including the Firearms Update) and the Bloody Ties DLC. Standard Edition owners get a free upgrade to the Reloaded Edition, which is nice. To celebrate Dying Light 2 Stay Human's two-year anniversary, there will also be a Second Anniversary Event from today through Thursday, March 7, with special rewards and other in-game surprises.
