The developers of Helldivers 2 have made an important update. In a recent post Twitter/X shares Johan Pilestedt, CEO of Arrowhead Game Studios, said that they have increased server capacity. The creators have increased the number of simultaneous players to 700,000. Previously, the level was 450,000 players who could be active in Helldivers 2 at the same time. “I have a final update for this evening,” Pilestedt recently announced and added Number of CCU (concurrent players) increased to 700,000 to have. Many players should be happy about this, after all, it was a wish that has been expressed again and again recently.
More space on Helldivers 2's servers
However, the developer is dampening expectations somewhat. They therefore expect that the increased player limit could also be reached. After all, it can be assumed that possible waiting times will now be more bearable. Since the launch of Helldivers 2 (buy now), players have repeatedly reported that they are stuck in queues, connections are lost or login errors occur. During the course of today, the developers want to turn more screws to prepare the popular co-op shooter for the upcoming weekend. On Wednesday, 457,649 concurrent players were reported on Steam alone. The number would probably have been significantly higher with a higher server cap.
