Nvidia's recent financial successes have not gone unnoticed by investors. Against the backdrop of record results from the last quarter, the price of shares of the “green” chipmaker increased by more than 16% – to $785.38. As a result, Nvidia's market capitalization crossed the $1.9 billion mark, strengthening its position among the three most valuable US IT companies next to Apple and Microsoft.
The Greens can also boast another record. In just one day, the company's market capitalization increased by $277 billion. This is the largest gain in Wall Street history. Previously, the record belonged to Meta, which on February 2 showed an increase in market capitalization of $196.8 billion.
The rise in Nvidia's stock price has also impacted its CEO's finances. During the day, Jensen Huang's fortune increased by $9.6 billion to $69.2 billion. This allowed him to rank as the 21st richest person on the planet according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
