The debut title from the Polish development studio Asaloda Games promises a “creative and unique building system” with Lands of Kostalia, which is ideal for relaxing. The concept behind it is very simple: players can simply “paint” the outlines of their desired buildings or fields on the uneven grid to get the desired shape of the new construct. The special charm here, however, is provided by a “special construction algorithm” that ensures that each building looks unique.
As usual with city building simulations, Lands of Kostalia is all about building a large and, above all, happy village. In order to cover all wishes, the developers offer different levels of difficulty, but do not provide any details on the game's official Steam page. At least Asaloda Games promises that both “relaxing experiences and challenging resource management” will be found.
The system requirements for the game are also clear. The minimum required is eight GiB of RAM and an Intel Core i5-3470 / AMD FX 8120; the graphics card performance must be at least at the level of an Nvidia GTX 1060 or AMD Radeon RX 580. The recommended system specifications are only slightly higher: 16 GiB of RAM is mentioned here, the GPU requirements go up a small step to a GTX 1070 or RX Vega-56. It is not yet known when exactly Lands of Kostalia will be playable, at least in a pre-release version.
