The last time the SteamDB counter ticked more than 1000 players together on the server was Thursday February 22nd. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League seems to have lost any appeal to the public. During today – Sunday 25th – the meter it even dropped to below 500 people at the same time. If we were talking about an old niche title, to be played in single-player, we could even read the data as positive. However, if you consider that we are talking about the numbers recorded over the weekend from a very recent live-service (which by its nature should keep gamers glued to the screen), it is clear that we are witnessing a very difficult situation.
La trilogia Batman Arkham batte Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League
The numbers become merciless when compared to Rocksteady's previous works. Before Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, the studio had released the Batman Arkham trilogy (quadrilogy, really). Over the last weekend, the three chapters recorded numbers higher than the live-service, on Steam.
In the last 24 hours, for example, Batman Arkham Asylum (2009), it had up to 1500 players at the same time. Batman Arkham City (2011) reached 1200. Immortal Arkham Knight (2015) with 3500 players despite being 9 years old.
The difficult one situation for Task Force X has been further complicated by the latest updates distributed by Rocksteady. Rather than making improvements, the patches seem to have messed up things that were already working. Various testimonies in this regard have appeared on Twitter or Reddit. Users report greater general instability and some unexpected glitches. In recent days, Warner had already expressed deep dissatisfaction and concern about the comparison reports with previous years. 2023 was marked by Hogwarts Legacy, the best-selling game of the year. The comparison, therefore, will be merciless
