“Gran Turismo 7” is about to celebrate its second birthday. It will be celebrated with at least three new vehicles, which Polyphony boss Kaz Yamauchi will draw attention to with silhouettes – but this time packaged in a video.
With “Gran Turismo 7”, Polyphony Digital was able to deliver a convincing piece of software that represents the highlight of the racing game series that started in 1997.
Even almost two years after the launch, the air has not gone out. Rather, the studio provides a breath of fresh air with regular updates. In addition to other improvements and additions, the downloads usually contain new vehicles. And the next content update is also equipped accordingly.
Kaz Yamauchi shows video with three silhouettes
Before the final announcement of the new content for “Gran Turismo 7” takes place this week, Polyphony boss Kaz Yamauchi started the monthly puzzle game on Twitter/X. The preview of the new vehicles consists of silhouettes, which this time are presented in video form.
GTPlanet looked at the details in the video and came to the conclusion that there is no risk of confusion at the bottom left and players will receive the Renault 4. It will probably end up at a used car dealer.
Next to it you can see the Audi TT, which returns in the form of the second generation. It could be the TTS that previously appeared in “Gran Turismo 6”.
The new car for “Gran Turismo 7” shown in the video above is less easy to identify. However, the smaller details give a clue. While the rough appearance could suggest a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII or IX, the fog lights and license plate point to the Evo IX.
The new vehicles are expected to be just part of the content that will be introduced to “Gran Turismo 7” with the upcoming update. It should be noted that the racing game will celebrate its second birthday next week. It is an occasion that is particularly suitable for an additional content drop.
The official announcement of the new “GT7” content will follow in the coming days. The download is expected to start on Thursday.
