Born in 2008 thanks to the efforts of Media Moleculethe series of LittleBigPlanet per PlayStation has established itself as a certainty for lovers of creative and elaborate Platformers, achieving great fame thanks also to its sophisticated level editor.
Between the main episodes and spin-offs, several games linked to the franchise have been published over time, also made by Sumo Digital and other studies. But what is the best LittleBigPlanet ever created? Let's find out through the appropriate ranking of the cute Platform adventures Sackboy:
6 – LittleBigPlanet 3
The first game of the brand to land on PlayStation 4 (as well as on PS3) thanks to the efforts of Sumo Digital it is also considered the least successful of the main genre: LittleBigPlanet 3 has a metascore of 79 are Metacriticstill a very good result but inferior to the other games in the series. 4 – LittleBigPlanet PSP
The first spin-off of the brand landed on PlayStation Portable in 2009, proving to be an extension of what was already offered by the first illustrious chapter. Developed by Media Molecule in collaboration with Studio Cambridge, LittleBigPlanet PSP managed to convincingly re-propose the gameplay, style and contents of the major chapter for PS3, thus revealing itself to be one of the best Platformers on the Sony portable console as confirmed by the metascore of 87.
3 – LittleBigPlanet PS Vita
Another spin-off, another quality platformer. LittleBigPlanet PS Vita was the fruit of the joint efforts of Double Eleven, Tarsier Studios e XDev Studio Europe who have created a work capable of both honoring the main series and making the most of the features of the portable platform. With the metascore equal to 88we are faced with one of the best games for PlayStation Vitaas well as one of its most popular titles (certainly more so than these 5 forgotten PS Vita exclusives).
2 – LittleBigPlanet 2
After the great success achieved by the founder, LittleBigPlanet 2 stands as its direct evolution especially with regards to the editor, made even more sophisticated and capable of giving life to original creations not strictly linked to the Platform sector: players could give free rein to their imagination and create small real games with which to entertain millions of fans around the world. This feature, in addition to an engaging and creative main adventure, allowed LittleBigPlanet 2 to take home an average of 91 su Metacritic.
1 – LittleBigPlanet
Upon its release in 2008, theoriginal LittleBigPlanet became an authentic gaming phenomenon: at the time there were no Platforms equipped with such a large, creative and elaborate level editor that allowed users to literally create the adventures of their dreams once mastered, thus giving an almost immense value to the scope of the work by Sony and Media Molecule. All this combined with an adventure full of levels full of style and personality, which made it one of the most unique platformers ever seen up to that point. The first LittleBigPlanet established itself as one of the most important exclusives in PS3 history, capable of reaching an incredible metascore of 95.
Other Spin-Offs
The brand hosted other games that changed the game compared to the brand's main genre. LittleBigPlanet Karting it throws itself into Arcade-style Racing Games starting from the formula already seen in ModNation Racers: go-kart racing and track editor. Despite the intriguing combination, the title did not obtain great response from critics, not going beyond an average of 74. There was also space for two different free Endless Runners for mobile systems which also recorded the lowest metascores of the franchise: Run Sackboy! Run! stopped at 65while Ultimate Sackboy went no further than 57.
