According to what emerged in the latest episode of the Sacred Symbol podcast, the technical specifications of PlayStation 5 PRO have long been known to all of Sony's main internal studios and numerous second-party teams.
Apparently small and medium-sized third-party publishers would not yet have access to the dev kit although Sony has planned a presentation of the console for these entities while, it seems, internal studios and second parties already have knowledge of the technical specifications of the new hardware.
After all, if the launch of PlayStation 5 PRO is really scheduled for the end of 2024 as claimed (among others) CNBC it would make perfect sense that a few months after launch, PlayStation Studios and the second party teams closest to Sony would have access to the console's programming tools.
At the moment Sony has not announced any new hardware for the end of the year but according to rumors the announcement of the console would be expected between the spring and summer of 2024 while the marketing would be scheduled between September and November, just in time for the holiday season.
The PlayStation 5 family therefore seems destined to grow and after the PS5 Slim and PlayStation Portal, can we really expect a new console immediately?
