An overturned device cannot receive energy normally.
The mission of the Odyssey lunar module will end on February 27, according to the company that created it, Intuitive Machines. Initially, it was expected that the device would work on the Moon longer, but an emergency situation prevented this.
During landing, the Odyssey capsized and the lunar module is now lying on its side. Because of this, the device’s solar panels cannot fully supply it with energy.
And here's another story
On February 27, Intuitive Machines believes, the Sun will drop so low above the Moon's horizon that its rays will no longer hit the Odyssey panels. Then there will be a moonlit night, during which the Odyssey will freeze completely.
Odyssey was expected to operate on the lunar surface for at least a week.
Representatives from Intuitive Machines have not yet explained what exactly went wrong during the landing of the probe. The company believes that the Odyssey landed vertically, but then for some reason capsized.
One theory is that this happened when the module's landing leg got caught on the lunar surface or on a rock. Intuitive Machines hopes to complete at least part of the mission's science program.
