Since their arrival on the market, 100% electric cars have (almost always) focused on offering a design that is a little more unusual compared to traditional combustion models. However, this effort does not always work 100%, with some vehicles appearing too strange and therefore undesirable in this transition phase.
That said, Mercedes decided to listen to buyers' opinions, as such, it will offer great news to the Mercedes EQS Facelift!
One of the biggest new features is the option now to opt for the brand's traditional grille or the panel that currently equips the EQS. Furthermore, for both options, you can also choose the brand's star on the hood, printed or mounted vertically.
According to Ola Källenius:
“Some (customers) will want to maintain a more sporty look and have the star integrated into the dashboard, while others, we believe, will want to have a more traditional look. We will give you that choice.”
According to an Easter Egg already presented by Mercedes, the new image appears to be the new grille for the EQS. Which according to many, is quite similar to the one already used by the S-Class models.
EQS facelift guarantees new grille, but also more battery!
Well, in addition to the visual changes, the company also guarantees changes to its battery pack. Therefore, the Mercedes EQS will now arrive with a new battery updated with a new chemical formula with a focus on autonomy.
It seems that the battery will increase from the already huge 108 kWh to an even more desirable 118 kWh.
In SUV-style offerings, this update guaranteed almost 50 km of extra range. Well, in theory or on paper, this is capable of taking the new EQS up to 805 km per charge.
In short, the new features of the Mercedes EQS also come due to the need to make this model even more attractive. In the end, sales have been falling, with buyers opting for combustion versions or looking for strong rivals such as the BMW i7.
