If you wander across various social media sites, whether for local or overseas communities, then you will often find requests to revive FromSoftware's Souls game for Playstation 4 – Bloodborne. Gamers don't seem to mind getting it in a remake version, just a remaster, or even a re-release for PC with the extra framerate that was a complaint about the original series. So as can be predicted, these requests inevitably end up reaching the ears of From Software veterans – Hidetaka Miyazaki. He couldn't do anything about the actual request.
After briefly expressing his feelings about gamers' enthusiasm regarding the Bloodborne Remake project to Eurogamer, Miyazaki also came up with a different affirmation in a different interview session with IGN. Responding to the same thing, Miyazaki reiterated that he couldn't talk much about Bloodborne. He said that From Software does not have the rights to Bloodborne considering that the IP itself is in the hands of Sony. Miyazaki admitted that this was indeed a fantastic project for him personally with fond memories, but he couldn't talk freely about Bloodborne at all.
Miyazaki admitted that he could not speak freely about Bloodborne because this IP belongs to Sony, not From Software.
Currently, Sony itself has never talked about Bloodborne again, despite the strong requests from fans, including requests regarding the port process to PC, which should be in line with Sony's current strategy. What do you think? Should this franchise be “resurrected” again?
