The song, which was first performed in this year's box office hit Barbie, received an Oscar nomination—and, as Variety notes, will be performed live at the ceremony by Ryan Gosling.
In previous interviews, the actor denied that the Academy invited him to perform:
“It's a big risk. I don't know if it will work, but I'm open to suggestions.”
Mark Ronson, who co-wrote “I'm Just Ken” with Andrew Wyatt, said at the Grammys that he wanted Gosling to perform at the Oscars.

“I'm Just Ken” is one of two songs from Barbie that was nominated for an Oscar for Best Original Song. Another, “What Was I Made For” by Billie Eilish and Finneas, won a Grammy for best song written for visual media.
The 96th Academy Awards will take place on March 11, 2024 at 1 a.m., and will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel for the fourth time this year (he hosted the Oscars in 2017, 2018 and 2023).
