Although Stardew Valley has now been on the market for eight years, developer Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone insists on continuing to release extensive updates for the farming simulation. He has now announced patch 1.6 – and the success of the game proves him right, as a look at the current sales figures proves.
Stardew Valley is on par with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Diablo 3
Stardew Valley has now reached a milestone that is second to none: the title has sold more than 30 million times across platforms since its release. Of these, 19 million units are on the PC alone. Stardew Valley thus overtakes titles such as Diablo 3 or Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, which in turn also sold around 30 million copies by January 2024.

To ensure that 30 million doesn't stop there, Barone continues to provide free updates that expand Stardew Valley with additional features. Version 1.6 should offer, among other things, the following content:

Barone also announced the final release date of Patch 1.6 at the same time as the Stardew Valley sales news. As a result, the update for the PC should appear on March 19, 2024. The version for consoles and mobile platforms should follow as soon as possible, but there is no specific date yet.
