On Thursday, April 18, 2024, the time has come: the best games from Germany will be honored at the German Computer Game Prize (DCP) award show. This year, the Munich Eisbach Studios are the venue for the awarding of the coveted trophies in a total of 15 categories. The prize money totals 800,000 euros.
Presenter Katrin Bauerfeind and entertainer Uke Bosse will once again present the most important prize in the German games industry. The duo has been hosting the awards ceremony together since 2022 and, as a well-rehearsed team, ensures the best entertainment.
The award show begins on April 18th at 8 p.m. with guests from the German games industry as well as from politics, culture and society. Together with the nominees and laudators, they celebrate the award for the best computer and video games of the year in Munich.
The DCP will also be broadcast live on the official website as well as on Twitch and YouTube. Viewers can exchange ideas with each other on social media using the hashtag #derDCP.
The award ceremony for the German Computer Game Prize will take place this year at the Eisbach Studios in Munich. Mainly used as studios for film, television and photography, they offer a lot of space and design options and will be dedicated to the DCP on April 18th.
The award winners are the federal government, represented by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection, and the game – Association of the German Games Industry.
