Several rumors in the past have suggested that Samsung is working on a successor to the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro earbuds. They are expected to be called the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, and the wearable has been in development for some time. Its predecessor was launched more than a year ago, so the new model should have already arrived.
Galaxy Buds 3 Pro are on the way and they won't arrive alone!
In this regard, the Dutch publication GalaxyClub revealed that the company will also launch more affordable headphones called Galaxy Buds 3.
According to the source, Samsung recently started developing firmware for the Galaxy Buds 3 and Pro. Additionally, the report suggests that the Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro will have model numbers SM-R530 and SM-R630, respectively. . It is worth mentioning that the battery in the Buds 3 charging case has already been certified by a Korean agency. However, the certification did not reveal anything about the case's battery capacity.
As for features, some reports from last year suggested that the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro will have some kind of AI functions. In fact, it seems that Samsung is very interested in incorporating this technology across its entire product line, not just smartphones. Notably, the Buds 3 Pro are said to utilize AI for real-time translation services. The earbuds can also offer real-time translation of voices during calls.
If the information is confirmed, AI could help improve some of the existing characteristics of these wearables.
The brand could use artificial intelligence to provide more effective active noise cancellation (ANC) in addition to ambient mode. On the other hand, it is not known whether the regular Galaxy Buds 3 model will have the same AI functions. However, it's unlikely because the Buds 3 will be the more affordable offering of the two.
As expected, the Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro may feature better audio quality and longer battery life. Notably, the former arrived in August 2021, while the latter arrived in August 2022. However, we can expect the Buds 3 to bring some design changes as well.
