The hacker group Mogilevich reported the hacking of Epic Games, Cyber Daily noted. It is alleged that in total the hackers managed to steal 189 gigabytes of company data.
According to the hackers, among the leaked Epic Games data are the source codes of the company's projects, passwords, payment information, and email addresses. It can be assumed that there is other information in the stolen data array.
On their website, hackers report that they are ready to sell the stolen data. Proposals are accepted until March 4, the price of the data array is not disclosed. Apparently, the hackers have not yet posted any documents confirming the reality of the leak.
Epic Games operates the Epic Games Store, a major PC games store, and also develops the Unreal Engine family of engines and related services. The company's clients include major game development studios.
Representatives from Epic Games have not yet commented on the hackers' statement.
