Also known as 5G-A, Huawei's 5.5G technology offers wider connections, optimized latency, and higher bandwidth capabilities. This provides improvements in network operations and services for operators, with a peak downlink rate of 10 Gbps and uplink of 1 Gbps.
Among other features provided by the 5G-A network, Huawei mentioned New Galling, an innovative feature that offers improved intelligence and data channel interaction operations.
The new network also helps operators restructure their service layout with greater efficiency. Another feature is MCF (Multimodal Communication Function). This offers the possibility for users, whether individuals or companies, to control their digital avatars using voice, for a more personalized calling experience.
Through these and other features, Huawei believes that the advanced network contributes to improving business development potential and increasing its value. Initially, 50 million subscribers in 31 provinces in China received the new network.
The next step announced by Huawei is to collaborate with global partners and operators and expand the 5.5G network to other regions of the world, with the network ready to reach areas such as Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.
