The Reel Fishing game series has a huge number of projects. The first part of the franchise was released in 1996 on Playstation; after the game, the series was visited by Dreamcast, Nintendo DS, Wii, PC, iOS and a number of other platforms. However, the Reel Fishing franchise has never been released on Xbox.
Now the Natsume team has officially announced that they are planning to release the game Reel Fishing: Days of Summer, which will be available on Xbox Series X | S, Playstation 5, Switch and PC. The game will be the 16th installment in the Reel Fishing franchise.
Details about the project are scarce at the moment. Like previous games in the series, Reel Fishing: Days of Summer will offer a fishing simulator with an emphasis on nature and photorealistic graphics.
According to the announcement, players will find more than 40 species of fish in 14 different fishing spots. To catch the rarest fish, you will need to make the best gear, of which there are more than 70 pieces in the game. Players will be able to keep the caught fish in an aquarium, while simultaneously increasing their level and acquiring new skills.
At the moment, the gameplay of Reel Fishing: Days of Summer has not been shown, and the project also does not have a release date.
