After the confirmation that Remedy has reacquired the rights to Control from 505 Games, yet another change arrives for the Italian publisher: the company has in fact closed some of its offices spread across Europe.
According to what we learned from the Spanish version of the portal Gamereactor specifically 505 Games, a subsidiary of Digital Bros.closed the branches present in Spain, France e Germania leaving only the main one in Milan and the British division operational, thus significantly limiting its territorial presence in the Old Continent. These teams were primarily concerned with marketing and comunication and the staff made redundant amounts to fewer than 10 people, although some of the offices that have now closed their doors had been in operation for as long as 15 years.
Last November Digital Bros announced the dismissal of 30% of the staff across all the companies under its control, mainly linked to the development studios they own. The cuts now made are therefore decidedly smaller in scope than what has been seen in recent months, however it is a downsizing for 505 Games which will now have a smaller role at a territorial level. It now remains to understand how the latest actions will change the future of the well-known publisher, which in any case will continue to be operational with the remaining offices.
