At the beginning of this year, there was a full announcement of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, a new game from MachineGames, which is part of Zenimax and owned by Microsoft Gaming. The announcement was accompanied by gameplay footage, which confirmed previously appeared information that the Indiana Jones game will take place in the first person for most of the time. This caused controversy among players, since many were accustomed to seeing such adventures from a third person.
An interesting video was shared by Daniel Arriaga, who now works at MachineGames and is a level designer for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. He published a video on his Youtube channel that demonstrates his own development on the Uncharted theme. He called it “his vision of a new part of the popular series” – Uncharted For Old Times' Sake.
In the video posted by Arriaga, you can see the level recreated in Unreal Engine 5 using third-party resources. This level will never develop into a separate game, as the author of the project writes about. According to him, he tried to show in this development different aspects of the gameplay of an adventure game: platforming, stealth, combat, vehicles and cinematic cutscenes.
Let us remind you that the release of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle should take place in 2024 on Xbox Series X | S and PC, directly to Game Pass.
