February 29, 2024 at 9:54 a.m. – Finding a Game Master as a character in WoW is a real rarity. On the Season of Discovery WoW Classic servers, a GM helped raiders fight Stranglethorn boss Kha'damu
The more players reach the new maximum level 40 in Season of Discovery, the more groups will dare to take on the ominous elite troll Kha'damu
In the past few days, several 40-strong raids have formed to take down Kha'damu. Rumors say that the troll boss is supposedly the Reins of the Bengal tiger drops. Apparently a game master also wanted to get to the bottom of this rumor.

Kha'damu inflicts two nasty debuffs on players, deals heavily and has about as much health as a boss from the final classic raid Naxxramas. The challenge is correspondingly difficult.
In another video (see below), the boss can be seen healing himself for a massive amount, making the fight pretty impossible. After the event in Stranglethorn, the NPC can also despawn.

A coalition of several groups of players managed to bring the mob down to 13% life points. Apparently there is a trick to defeating Kha'damu. In the first video you can see how a Game Master intervenes in the fight and tries to pull the boss near a blood altarbut the tanks in the group keep attracting the threat.
The Game Master has the indiscriminate mode, which makes him immortal. Theoretically, the GM could of course defeat Kha'damu directly, but that would be lame.
What is the Bengal tiger?
Source: wowhead.com WoW: Game Master supports raiders in the fight against Kha'damu (Video) (1) The fact that Kha'damu actually drops the Bengal Tiger is so far just a pipe dream. The reins of the mount appeared in the testing phase for WoW (buy now) Classic in 2003. Rumor has it that an NPC would appear once a week and sell the mount in a hidden cave in Stranglethorn.
And the Bengal tiger actually exists in WoW. As we explain in detail in the accompanying article The story of the appearance of the Bengal tiger, the mount was given away through a Make-a-Wish campaign by Blizzard to a single player who was suffering from a rare type of cancer at the time and donations for research into her disease collected.
So the mount is literally unique. It wouldn't be unthinkable that Blizzard would drop the mount for Classic players again in Season of Discovery. Because with the Green Robo Rider from the Gnomeregan raid, the devs have already shown that they are not afraid of (at the time) unique mounts.
Players on the Classic Realms are confident that Kha'damu will bite the dust at the next Stranglethorn event. If that's the case, we'll see if the rumors are confirmed or if there's something else behind the troll boss. What do you think? Will Kha'damu even drop loot?
