Apparently, it’s not a fake after all.
Today, a serious commotion has arisen in the Russian and, as a result, in the Western press. Journalist Margarita Simonyan published an audio recording of alleged negotiations between Bundeswehr officers, in which they discuss how long-range German Taurus missiles could strike the Crimean Bridge. The authenticity of this recording is under a very big, if not colossal question, however, it seems that the German Ministry of Defense is seriously concerned about the situation.
As the DPA agency reports, citing a source in the German Ministry of Defense, the department has begun an investigation into the possible interception of communications between German officers. In particular, German military counterintelligence is reportedly involved in this.
We do not undertake to judge who invented or thought up what, but the use of Taurus missiles to attack Russian targets (and the Crimean Bridge, from the point of view of Russian legislation, as the only infrastructure facility of significance for the Russian Federation), will mean a colossal increase in escalation. Previously, we recall that attacks on the Crimean Bridge were carried out either using unmanned surface boats or using a truck loaded with explosives. Simply put, by terrorist means.
The use of directly Western weapons for the same purpose, which will be launched from carrier aircraft still remaining in Ukraine, is an extremely dangerous precedent that could lead to a demonstrative strike by the Russian Armed Forces against the installations of the German military-industrial complex. It’s not hard to guess how quickly the escalation could become uncontrollable – and all because of the panic now reigning in the West against the backdrop of Ukraine’s prospects in the current conflict being extremely clearly visible.
