Those: Blizzard
March 1, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. – It's actually a no-brainer, but the upcoming Diablo 4 content will land on the Public Test Realm (PTR) in the future.
Why Diablo 4 hasn't had a Public Test Realm (PTR) has been an issue since the release of Blizzard's ARPG. The beta phase was carried out under non-real conditions and the first seasonal features were not tested publicly. And so it happened as it had to happen: the internal tests were often inadequate and frequent players exposed the weaknesses of endgame content such as the Seneschal and the like during the first few hours.
But with the coming season starting in mid-April, that will finally change. Then players can hop on the PTR before the release of new content.
The outcry was worth it, Diablo 4 is getting a PTR soon
At the Campfire Chat on February 29, 2024, the developers confirmed that the next season (Season 4) will get a PTR. This means that before the start of the season, players will be able to examine large parts of the endgame features before the features are implemented.
Although this takes away some of the excitement or anticipation of the season, on the whole players benefit from this “innovation”. This has already been shown in virtually all other Blizzard games, where a public test realm has been common practice for years.

The testing phase for Season 4 of Diablo 4 (buy now €44.93)becomes particularly important. Because in season 4 the developers at Blizzard want the big itemization update implement. Then a lot of character values will most likely change. And of course something like this has to be done properly so that it doesn't end up being a catastrophe. For the itemization update, the devs are working with some of the most experienced players from the Diablo cosmos and other ARPGs.
