At the CES in January, Gigabyte also showed, among other things, several new gaming monitors. However, the Aorus FO27Q3 was not on display at the time, and the technical details of the new gaming screen were not yet revealed at the trade fair. But that has now changed, as the monitor has recently been listed on Gigabyte's website.
On par with the competition
According to this, the new Gigabyte Aorus FO27Q3 will target a market segment that has so far hardly been addressed. The monitor uses an OLED panel with quantum dots that operates at a refresh rate of 360 Hz. So far only two other models offer this combination in the PCGH price comparison, namely the Dell Alienware AW2725DF and the MSI MPG 271QRX. Both are likely to use the same panel as the new Aorus, because the other technical details are also strikingly similar.
Source: Gigabyte The Aorus FO27Q3 can be connected via HDMI 2.1, Displayport 1.4 and USB-C. There is also an integrated USB/audio distributor. For example, the new Aorus FO27Q3 should also have a screen diagonal of around 27 inches, cover 99 percent of the DCI-P3 color space and shine at 250 cd/m². Despite the display HDR certification, HDR is probably only an issue to a limited extent. As usual with OLED displays, the monitor should score points with good black levels. There is also Freesync Premium Pro for gamers, but G-Sync is not addressed. There is the usual package of ergonomic options: the monitor can be rotated, tilted, swiveled, adjusted in height by 130 mm and attached to the VESA 100 mount.

Unfortunately, it is currently unclear when the Gigabyte Aorus FO27Q3 will come onto the market. In addition, the company has not yet revealed any details about the price. This is probably what determines its attractiveness. The Alienware model in question can be pre-ordered with similar specifications for just under 900 euros, for example. In order not to lose its attractiveness, Gigabyte's competing product should be similarly priced. But of course that is not certain. Here you simply have to wait until the company reveals more.
