Testing of the regime may start before the end of spring.
Mojang Studio plans to add a new mode to Minecraft Bedrock, hardcore. It will be a subcategory of survival mode, but will differ in several important ways.
Firstly, in hardcore mode the maximum difficulty of the game is activated and cannot be changed. Secondly, the player has only one life; if he dies, there will be no respawn – everything will have to start from the very beginning.
Currently, hardcore mode is only available in the Java version of Minecraft; it has been in the game since 2011. It can be assumed that the functionality of the hardcore mode in Minecraft Bedrock will be the same as in the Java version.
The developers estimate that testing of the hardcore mode will start before the end of spring. Mojang wants to make sure that the mode works properly, so it will remain in the test version of Minecraft until the developers are confident in the quality of the mode.
It is expected that testing of the hardcore mode will start before the end of spring. The developers have not yet undertaken to predict how long it will take to test the mode and at what point it will be released.
