The last few hours were marked by Elon Musk suing OpenAI, maker of ChatGPT, and the CEO, Sam Altman. At the origin of Musk's action is the fact that he considers that the brand has set aside its original mission: helping people. On the contrary, he believes that OpenAI prioritizes profit-making.
Elon Musk's lawsuit, as reported by Reuters, contains allegations of breach of contract. Tesla's CEO points out that, at an early stage, the objective was to found an open source company. However, he himself considers that OpenAI “set fire to the agreement” when it launched the GPT-4 model, as a Microsoft product, in his opinion.

Elon Musk's fundamental objective is to force OpenAI to share its technology with the world, instead of using it to generate financial profits, which, for him, benefit Microsoft.
Remember that Musk was part of OpenAI, having left in 2018 to focus on Tesla's Artificial Intelligence projects. At the time, as reported by Reuters, he himself wanted the speed of development to increase, which was never seen favorably by the rest of the team.
In addition to Elon Musk requesting legal action regarding GPT-4, he also rebels against Q*. In case you have never heard of Q*, it is an artificial super-intelligence platform being developed, which promises to be the future of AI.

In Musk's opinion, OpenAI has distorted its mission and has become “a subsidiary” of Microsoft. As stated in the process, Elon Musk's view is that OpenAI seems to prefer profits to the benefit of humanity.
