One of the many differences between Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth concerns the Chocobosince in the second chapter of the Square Enix trilogy you can use the funny birds as mounts with which to explore the map.
Although you will be able to ride the first Chocobo during the story, after reaching the area east of the village, you will have to unlock the creatures to use as mounts by completing a mini-game. In fact, if you want a Chocobo of your own, you will have to wait until it arrives Grasslandsthe open map in which you will notice the presence of aChocobo footprint icon. After having identified the area in question on the map, reach it to start a sort of mini-game through which you will have to silently reach behind the Chocobo that you want to tame. To succeed in this feat, you will have to exploit the environment and, for example, hide in the tall grass or throw stones to divert the creature's attention: once you get within a few centimeters of the animal, press the Triangle button to jump on the Chocobo and have it carry out your orders.
At this point all you have to do is return to the Chocobo Farm, so that the animal you have trained becomes permanently yours. In this regard, you can recall it at any moment of the game thanks to the Whistle: press the R1 key and, as if by magic, your steed will join you for a new journey around the game world.
It should be noted that in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth There are numerous species of Chocobo, each with unique characteristics. Some will be able to fly, others can jump very high and others have the ability to climb surfaces. Simply put, these feathered allies will be essential for reaching otherwise inaccessible areas.
