Crash Team Rumble, what we could consider a spiritual heir to the historic Crash Bash, is about to reach the finish line. Once the game was started, players of the Toys for Bob party game came across a message where it was clarified that support for the video game will be stopped shortly. Microtransactions will also be disabled, with players only being able to use Crash Coins they already own to purchase tier jumps.
Crash Team Rumble: a premature end, but the game will remain Live
The life of Crash Team Rumble certainly turned out to be shorter than Toys for Bob hoped, at least when it comes to adding content. The party game made its debut on June 20, 2023, therefore the support actually lasted just 9 months. Fortunately, gamers will still be able to continue enjoying the game which will remain online for a while longer. Probably, the decision will come later to the detachment of Toys for Bob from the Activision groupwhich owns the rights to Crash.
The message is as follows: “March 4th will be the last content update for Crash Team Rumble. The core of the game will remain live and players will continue to have access to the free 500-tier battle pass which includes 104 new items. This will include all Battlepass content from Seasons 1 through 3, as well as all available event rewards. Additionally, Crash Coin purchases will be disabled and players will be able to use their existing Crash Coins to purchase tier jumps for their Battlepass.”
The game is available on PC, PlayStation and Xbox.
