With the EK Quantum In Win 977EK, the Slovenian water cooling experts from EKWB, better known as EK Water Blocks, together with the Taiwanese case specialists from In Win, have now presented a sinfully expensive “custom loop case”, which corresponds to water-cooled high-end PCs should be staged. In terms of price, however, they are only aimed at absolute enthusiasts who are looking for that very special something and have a corresponding budget.
Aluminum housing for custom loops
The new EK Quantum In Win 977EK, which is available in black and silver, is intended to be a particularly high-quality aluminum housing for even the most complex custom loop water cooling systems. The case measures around 525 × 250 × 575 mm and offers a volume of 75.5 liters. A “material mix” of aluminum, high-strength steel and glass is intended to ensure stability and a particularly high-quality appearance. The ambitious price is 799.89 euros.

Heat exchangers and fans are all attached to removable brackets in the housing. Three 120 mm or 140 mm fans or one 360 mm or one 420 mm radiator can be found in the lid and/or on the base. The “show case” is designed for motherboards in the E-ATX, ATX and Micro-ATX form factors and has a total of eight expansion slots.
The EK Quantum In Win 977EK is designed for EKWB's own S-series Quantum radiators, but can also be operated with B-series heat exchangers and other brands. The manufacturer notes, however, that in such cases a certain level of manual skills is required, while the assembly of the recommended S series should be particularly easy to implement. The start button on both models has A-RGB lighting.
The mainboard tray, which can also be rotated by 90 degrees, as well as all of the housing's brackets are particularly easy to dismantle and pull out, while the numerous different positioning options for fans and radiators leave plenty of scope for personal setups.
