The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been in a lot of trouble in the recent past and has produced some major flops, especially in the past year. However, there were also much better times with mega successes and blatant records. But which one actually was the best Marvel film to date? While fans around the world argue about this issue, one of the actors involved has a very clear opinion on the matter.
Which Marvel movie is #1 for Captain America?
We're talking about Chris Evans, who took on the role of the iconic Marvel hero Captain America in several films. The last time he was in Avengers: Endgame as the model hero of the MCU and then passed the torch to his successor. Recently, Evans was a guest at Emerald City Comic-Con and, among other things, answered the question, which for him is the best Marvel film to date. The answer will certainly surprise some fans: It's not one of the big Avengers adventures, but Captain America – Winter Soldier.
“It's my personal favorite Marvel film that I've been a part of. Not just because of the film itself, but in terms of the experience. The first film I was very nervous. You know what's coming, so you act more defensively and plays not to lose. When 'Winter Solider' came up, we played to win. It was also the first film with the Russo brothers. We took more risks, the character felt more mature. It was one of the most satisfying phases of my time at Marvel.”
Some fans might have expected a different answer from Evans, but by far the majority of the community would agree with him. This is shown not least by the predominantly positive ratings for Captain America: Winter Soldier. What about with you? Is this also your favorite Marvel film or do you have another favorite?
